Big Win at 2011 Reedy Truck Race of Champions

The 2011 Reedy Truck Race of Champions was held October 7th-9th at Hot Rod Hobbies in Saugus, California. The last Reedy Truck Race was held in back in 2009 where Kyosho's Jared Tebo Won both the Modified Truck Class with his RT5 and the Pro Truggy Class with his ST-RR. This years Reedy Truck Race would switch the 1/8 Truggy Classes for 1/10 Short Course Classes. Entries for this years event reached a record number of 170 entries! With rain earlier in the week, the track would dry out just intime for practice on Thursday. Great weather would remain for the rest of the weekend with temperatures in the 80's.

Race Schedule:
Friday 7th - Open Practice
Saturday 8th - 3 Rounds of Qualifying
Sunday 9th - Triple A-Main Events

Pro 2 Modified Short Course

In the Pro 2 Modified Short Course Class it Kyosho's Jared Tebo who would go onto qualify 2nd overall. Also in the A-Main for Kyosho was young talent Carson Wernimont who would start in the 9th position.

After finishing 3rd in A-Main #1. Tebo went on to convincingly Win A-Mains #2 and #3 with his Team Orion powered Kyosho SC-R to take home the Reedy Truck Race of Champions first ever Pro 2 Modified Short Course Championship!

Modified Truck

In the Modified Truck Class it was Kyosho's Jared Tebo who would dominate qualifying to take the Overall TQ. Also in the A-Main for Kyosho was: Shaun Dunlap starting 7th and Zack Rogers starting 8th.

Tebo went on to lead every lap in both A-Main #1 and A-Main #2 with his Team Orion powered Kyosho RT5 to take home his 2nd Championship of the weekend and making it a clean sweep in both classes he entered. This would also be Tebo's 5th consecutive Modified Truck Championship at the Reedy Truck Race of Champions!
