The 14th Annual HRH Shootout was held at Hot Rod Hobbies in Saugus, California during July 8th-10th. This years Shootout would be held only 1 week before the IFMAR 1/10 Electric Off-Road World Championships which gave all the major race teams one last chance to get everything dialed in. A very challenging track layout along with temperatures in the mid to upper 90's would provide a great week of racing. The race schedule consisted of open practice on Wednesday and Thursday. Then on Friday and Saturday, 2 qualifiers each day would be ran. Sunday would be only Main Events. Like in years past, the points system would be used to determine the overall qualifying order taking each drivers two best runs.
