This past weekend at OC R/C Raceway in Huntington Beach, CA was the 3rd Annual Surf City Classic. Track owner Robert Black made it happen by getting Tebo, Cavalieri, Maifield, Evans, and Truhe all out for the race just 1 week after the ROAR Electric Off-Road Nationals in Joliet, IL. Robert also called on Jimmy Babcock to take time out of his busy schedule and announce this years event. The total entries for this years Classic reach over 200!
In the 2wd Modified Buggy Class, Kyosho's Jared Tebo would start in the 2nd position for the 10-minute A-Main Event. At the start of the tone it was Tebo closely following the TQ Ryan Cavalieri. On lap #12 Tebo made a pass for the lead and would hang on to take the win with his Team Orion powered Kyosho RB5-SP2. Cavalieri finished 2nd .5 seconds back from Tebo and Maifield would finish 3rd.

In the 4wd Modified Buggy Class, Tebo went on to set the overall TQ in the class and would start on the pole position for the 8-minute A-Main Event. Jared went on to lead every lap of the main event and took the win by over 7-seconds! Cavalieri would finish 2nd and Hartson in 3rd.
