Kyosho Wins At 2010 Sidewinder Nitro Explosion
The 7th Annual Sidewinder Nitro Explosion was held at Thunder Alley Raceway in Beaumont, CA this past weekend. This would be the last big race for all the top US drivers before they would travel to Pattaya, Thailand for the 1/8 World Championships.

This is Factory Kyosho/Orion Driver Cody King's race report on his big win!

Qualifying did not go how I wanted it to, so I would end up starting 9th on the grid for the 45-minute A-Main. In the A-Main warm up we tried soft AKA enduros and they were awesome, so that is what I would use in the main. At the start I knew I had a good chance to win if I could just get through the first couple laps clean and I did for the most part. Our Team Orion engine was the best it had been all weekend getting 11 minutes to a tank for runtime. The point where I knew I had a chance to win was when I got up in 3rd behind Cavalieri and Truhe. The track was really tough and I knew if I didnt make any mistakes I could pass them and pull away. At the 20 min mark, Truhe and I were battling for the lead and we both came in to the pit at the same time. Something happened to him coming out of the pits and that is where I knew the main was mine to win. I had about a 20 second lead over second at the end of the race and came in for a splash and go just to be safe and I ended up winning the main by about 12 seconds.
