Kyosho's Jared Tebo Wins 2nd ROAR 1/8 Nitro Buggy National Championship!

The 2017 ROAR 1/8 Nitro Off-Road Nationals were held last weekend at Stateline Raceway in Fremont, Indiana! Handsdown, one of the nicest facilities in the country with hospitality second to none. With the highest entry count in ROAR's history at this event of 365, it was going to be a great weekend of racing!

Race Schedule:
Wednesday, June 21st: Controlled Practice
Thursday, June 22nd: ROAR Seeding Practice
Friday, June 23rd: 2 Rounds of Qualifying
Saturday, June 24th: 2 Rounds of Qualifying
Sunday, June 25th: Lower Main Bump-ups / A-Main Events

Jared Tebo was very fast right from the start of practice on Wednesday. Tebo would continue to put down great runs and eventually seed 2nd overall going into Friday's qualifying.

In round #1 of Nitro Buggy, Tebo would put in a perfect run and take the TQ by 3-seconds! Tebo would then put in his 2nd best run of qualifying in round #3 where he would finish 4th. This would qualify Tebo 3rd overall for the event!

Tebo then went onto finish a respectable 3rd in the 30-minute Even Semi to transfer directly into the 1-hour A-Main.

During the 1-hour break before the final A-Main Event, Tebo made a few key set-up changes that he felt would help him in the grueling 1-hour race on this tough track. As the tone went off, Tebo made a few good moves to quickly work his way into 4th after the first couple laps. Just as the first round of pit stops began to cycle through, Tebo had moved into 3rd and not too far out of the lead. Kyosho America Team Manager Joe Pillars & Kyosho Privateer Ofir Komerian provided Tebo with lightning fast pit stops throughout the entire race. A few minutes later, Tebo eventually caught up to the battle for the lead. Just before the 2nd round of pit stops began, Tebo made a pass for the lead! Tebo would continue his fast pace to lead the rest of the race and take the convincing Win by 10-seconds!

Jared Tebo Won his 1st ROAR 1/8 Nitro Buggy National Championship with Kyosho in 2010. Now 7 years later, he continues to show his speed and determination to record his 2nd!
