The 2013 Byron Heartland Challenge is in the books, and this time Cody TQ’d both Buggy and Truggy classes, and closed the deal Sunday in the finals with a double win as well. Cody had this to say:
“Even though I TQ’d both classes, I knew it would be a hard fought battle on Sunday in the finals.
Ryan Lutz grew up on indoor tracks like this, and he feels like he should win, but I did what I had to
do to beat him.
Big thanks to Byron for hosting the event, and especially Bobbi-Jo Clausen for taking care of us this week. Also my Dad for all his hard work, the Kyosho cars were solid as usual. Of course huge thanks to Hobbytown Hobbyplex raceway in Omaha Nebraska, and especially Alex Sturgeon for the great track and even better announcing on the microphone. Hope to be back next year.”
